Many have highlighted about Legoland Theme Park, Sanrio Town in Nusajaya, Johor Premium Outlet (JPO) and dining places in Johor Bahru. Well, in this entry we write to you on major attractions around Johor Bahru city, where you should visit when you travel to this 'Southern Jewel' of Malaysia.

Stadium Tan Sri Dato' Haji Hassan Yunos

For football fans, Stadium Tan Sri Dato' Haji Hassan Yunos or the locals called it 'Stadium Larkin' is one of the famous attractions in Johor Bahru and can be considered at par with the Old Trafford, Anfield, Stamford Bridge and The Emirates football stadiums. As the home ground for Johor Darul Ta'zim Football Club (JDT), it is an official stadium for every match of JDT Team and it can accommodate audience up to 60,000. This stadium is named after the former Chief Minister of Johor Bahru, Tan Sri Dato' Haji Hassan Yunos. It was built in 1964, and can accommodate only 15,000 people at that time.Now, it has been upgraded to date and has a world-class facility. If you are coming in a group, take this opportunity to make a tour of this stadium but please ensure that you have made an appointment with the management.There is also a JDT souvenir shop where you can buy official JDT items as a collection.

Padang Seri Gelam Training Centre

Don't miss to see Padang Seri Gelam Training Centre for JDT Team which is located beside the Dataran Bandaraya Johor Bahru. However, this training centre are not open for public . Don't be upset, you can relax and enjoy the evening view at the JDT Cafe, located beside the training centre.

Hutan Bandar Johor Bahru @Night

The latest attraction place is Hutan Bandar, but this is not a new place for the locals to hang out. Hutan Bandar is popular among locals when it goes for breakfast and recreational activities. Located in between of Jalan Tasek Utara and Jalan Yahya Awal, it is 1.5 km from the Johor Bahru City Centre. Hutan Bandar still retains the original shape and tries to maintain its green environment with aesthetic value as well as beautiful scenery. Hutan Bandar has been upgraded. Now visitors can enjoy their night activities and have 'makan-makan' time at the food truck with family.

Hipster Cafe & Boutique @ Jalan Dhoby

Nowadays there are lots of modern and hipster cafe at Kuala Lumpur and Ipoh. If you travel to Johor Bahru, you should try to all these cafe along Jalan Dhoby, also known as Hipster Street by the youngster.

Kilang Bateri

Kilang Bateri is a destination that you should visit if you travel to Johor Bahru. It is a chill out destination for the locals at night and on the weekends. Kilang Bateri used to be the former site of Eveready battery factory. At the Kilang Bateri, you can enjoy eating at the modern cafe that sell a variety of foods from western, steamboat and local food. Kilang Battery became the main attraction for young people because of the vintage ambience and boutique concept that sell clothing brand from Instagram.
